In-Person Topical Discussions: Potential Off-Leash Dog Areas
April 11, 2022 | 6:15-7:45 PM
There were in-person discussions related to potential off-leash areas in Stony Run Park in April. The purpose of this discussion was to identify opportunities, constraints, and other considerations for each of these potential areas to include in the Strategic Plan, so that the Strategic Plan can be used to inform on-going efforts to implement off leash options (fenced dog parks, off-leash areas/hours, fenced “no-dog zones”, and/or a combination of these).
User Survey - *Completed February 2022*
The Lower Stony Run User Survey was re-administered in February 2022 in place of an original survey which ran in late fall 2021.
Our planning team is committed to the integrity of the input we receive. During the initial survey period, we received some community feedback that there were some flaws in the survey. Therefore, we determined it was important to revise the survey to address the flaws and re-administer the survey. Thank you to everyone who had participated in the survey process. Your input is vital to the success of this planning effort and is greatly appreciated! |
Site Walks
Two site walks along the Lower Stony Run provided an opportunity to identify assets, concerns, opportunities, etc. that will help inform the Strategic Plan. Each walk covers the same route.
In the spirit of the Ma and Pa Railroad, the site walks included seven “station stops” along the way. Participants were welcome to join for the entire walk or for individual sections. The route map shown here illustrated the station locations/descriptions and departure times from each stop. ADDITIONAL NOTES:
